It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Columbus North ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past the East Central Trojans 11-9. For the Bull Dogs, this counts as revenge for the 4-2 win the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Jesse Clark was incredible, scoring a run and stealing five bases while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Jack Whaley, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Columbus North now has a winning record of 2-1. As for East Central, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Columbus North will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Jeffersonville at 6:00 p.m. As for East Central, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Franklin County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
