It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Valley Falls had no problem doing just that on Friday. They put the hurt on the Remington Broncos with a sharp 16-6 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Dragons sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

Collin Kearney made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 5.1 innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Trenten VanHoutan was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Grant Meyer was another key player, going 3-for-5 with five RBI.

Valley Falls always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .610. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Remington only posted an OBP of .310.

Valley Falls' record now sits at 24-4. As for Remington, they moved to 11-9-1 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
