Basketball Recap: Blackford Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Blackford can now relate to. They were beaten by the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers 65-8 on Friday. The Bruins' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it eight in a row.

Jacklynn Hosier was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 16 points and nine steals for Alexandria-Monroe. Hosier has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 48 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kylan McFall, who posted six points and seven steals.

Blackford's loss dropped their record down to 2-23. As for Alexandria-Monroe, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 24-1.

Blackford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Alexandria-Monroe, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 54-23 victory against Wapahani on the 8th.
