Basketball Recap: Jordan Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Jordan can now relate to. They received a blow on Wednesday as they fell 78-63 to the Palm Desert Aztecs. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Palm Desert's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Wil Wilson led the charge by going 8-for-17 to rack up 21 points. That's the most points Wilson has posted since back in December of 2024. Jecorey Jones was another key player, going 5-for-8 on his way to 14 points in addition to seven boards and five assists.

Jordan now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Palm Desert, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.

Jordan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palm Desert, they will square off against Linfield Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Linfield Christian comes in on ten and Palm Desert on four.
