Antonian Prep had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Savio Eagles a 15-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Apaches, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Victoria Gass and Analisa Guerrero made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Gass tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Guerrero pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Gass posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February. At bat, Gass went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double, while Guerrero went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI. In other batting news, Bella Vasquez was a standout: she scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024. Khloe Villanueva was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Antonian Prep pushed their record up to 15-7 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
