Volleyball Recap: Hilbert Wolves vs. Reedsville Panthers
Hilbert had lost five straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 3-24 to make it six. They fell just short of the Reedsville Panthers by a score of 3-2. If the Wolves were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Panthers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Hilbert's offense was headlined by Alaina Dohr and Maddie Schnurer, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Grace Kloehn and her 16 assists. Liz Schneider controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
As for Reedsville, their win ended a six-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-16. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since September 23rd.
Kayla Peterson was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 28 digs and six aces. Those 28 digs gave her a new career-high. Brooklin Taddy also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hilbert beat Reedsville by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.
