Basketball Game Preview: Bryant Hurricanes vs. Saraland Spartans

Having just played yesterday, the Bryant Hurricanes will head out on the road to face off against the Saraland Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Bryant took their match with ease, bagging a 64-32 win over Chickasaw. Given the Hurricanes' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Chieftains are ranked 278th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Saraland came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Toros by a score of 53-42.

Bryant has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 16-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Saraland, they pushed their record up to 18-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Bryant lost to Saraland on the road by a decisive 60-45 margin in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Bryant avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
