Baseball Recap: Five Straight Road Victories for Santana

After losing to West Hills the last time they met, Santana decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Sultans walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Wolf Pack on Tuesday.

Ryder Davey was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. Trevor Eckis was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Santana pushed their record up to 12-11 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for West Hills, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-11.

Looking ahead, Santana will face off against Steele Canyon at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Sultans surely won't give up without a fight. As for West Hills, they will square off against El Cajon Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolf Pack are facing the Braves at the right time seeing as the Braves are stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
