Morton had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the five-goal drubbing they dealt Mahomet-Seymour on Thursday. The Potters' defense stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 5-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Morton, who have now won 17 contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Morton pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their 12th straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 71 goals over those 12 matchups.
