Basketball Recap: Seminole Comes Up Short

Seminole lost against Oviedo back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Seminole Seminoles took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oviedo Lions.

Despite the loss, Seminole still got an impressive performance from Jorden Pittman, who posted 22 points and four steals. Pittman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Markel Barber, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine boards.

Cameron Bryant continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Oviedo, dropping a double-double with 25 points and 15 rebounds. That's the most points Bryant has posted since back in December of 2024. Terell James was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Seminole's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Oviedo, their victory bumped their record up to 14-11.

Seminole wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 52-40 defeat against Lake Mary on the 5th. As for Oviedo, they have also already played their next game, a 72-47 win against Mainland on the 5th.
