Soccer Recap: Lamar Takes a Loss

If Lamar was riding high fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Haltom last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lamar Vikings took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Grand Prairie Warriors on Tuesday.

Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for South Grand Prairie, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Lamar and South Grand Prairie should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Lamar (ranked 156th) will meet Sam Houston (ranked 500th) at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, South Grand Prairie will face off against Grand Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 411 places (143 vs. 554).
