Baseball Game Preview: Sarasota Christian Blazers vs. The Classical Academy of Sarasota Patriots

The Sarasota Christian Blazers will face off against The Classical Academy of Sarasota Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sarasota Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

Last Thursday, Sarasota Christian earned an 8-3 victory over Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy.

Justin Brock made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Sarasota Christian is undefeated when Brock posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise.

In other batting news, Evan Poznanski was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Randall Collins, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Meanwhile, The Classical Academy of Sarasota was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 12-1 to Sarasota Military Academy.

Sarasota Christian's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-5. As for The Classical Academy of Sarasota, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
