Basketball Recap: Stanton Comes Up Short

Stanton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were dealt an 81-35 loss at the hands of the Lamesa Tornadoes. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buffaloes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-28 back in December of 2024.

Stanton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Lamesa, their victory bumped their record up to 3-17.

When Stanton and Lamesa next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Stanton will take on Coahoma and their three-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lamesa will try to stop Brownfield's ten-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
