Football Game Preview: Maple Heights Mustangs vs. Garfield Heights Bulldogs

The Maple Heights Mustangs will challenge the Garfield Heights Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Garfield Heights will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Maple Heights extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Mustangs blew past Bedford 40-6.

Meanwhile, while Garfield Heights put up plenty of points on Thursday, the same can't be said for Warrensville Heights. The Bulldogs claimed a resounding 48-0 win over the Tigers. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 164th, while the Tigers are ranked 571st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Garfield Heights' victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Maple Heights, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Everything came up roses for Maple Heights against Garfield Heights in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 54-0 victory. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
