Softball Recap: Dixie Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dixie can now relate to. They lost 7-0 to the Deseret Peak Golden Eagles on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Flyers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Dixie saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chesney Robbins, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Dixie's defeat dropped their record down to 20-13. As for Deseret Peak, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-16 record this season.

Dixie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Deseret Peak, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 loss against Bear River on the 14th.
