Softball Recap: Morristown-Hamblen East Hurricanes vs. Sevier County Smoky Bears
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Morristown-Hamblen East). They blew past the Sevier County Smoky Bears 13-3 on Thursday. The win was nothing new for the Hurricanes as they're now sitting on four straight.
Ella Wampler was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and two runs.

In other batting news, Jaycee Hamilton and Harmony Sullivan did most of the damage at the plate: Hamilton went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles, while Sullivan scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4.
