Baseball Game Preview: Williamstown Yellowjackets vs. George Washington Patriots

The Yellowjackets' pitchers stepped up to hand the Red Devils a 10-0 shutout on Friday. Considering the Yellowjackets have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, George Washington faced Logan in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Patriots sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Wildcats. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

George Washington is on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 21 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Williamstown, they pushed their record up to 19-8 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.
