Baseball Recap: Heritage Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to 13

Heritage Academy entered their tilt with Our Lady of Sorrows on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Cavaliers. The Heroes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cavaliers, too.

Cristian Morgan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Morgan was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brady Snitker, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Sam Johnson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Heritage Academy's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.2 runs over those games. As for Our Lady of Sorrows, they now have a losing record of 1-2-1.
