Sadie Marks commands the offense for Satellites win

Recap: South Central Satellites vs. Morgan Township Cherokees

The South Central Satellites had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They secured a 53-47 W over Morgan Township. This was payback for South Central, who suffered a 44-43 defeat the last time these two teams met.

South Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sadie Marks, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds. Marks continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Hope Welsh, who scored 14 points along with three steals.

South Central is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Morgan Township, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Central's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Kouts at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Kouts will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 334th, while South Central is ranked 134th). As for Morgan Township, they will be playing at home against Westville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westville is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
