Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wayland Academy). They took down the Fall River Pirates 78-62 on Friday. While the Big Red didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Wayland Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Fall River, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wayland Academy will take on Oakfield in a holiday battle at at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Oakfield's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Fall River, they will be home for the holidays to greet Pardeeville at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Pardeeville will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Fall River surely won't give up without a fight.
