Holmes County and Wildwood squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Holmes County had to settle for second. They lost 65-43 to the Wildwood Wildcats. The Blue Devils' defeat signaled the end of their 14-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Holmes County lost, don't look at Emma Whitaker. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Whitaker's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 19 points.

It was another big night for Trinidy Harris, who shot 58% from the field en route to 29 points and three steals for Wildwood. Harris has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoey Brown, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 15 points and six boards.

Holmes County's loss dropped their record down to 26-3. As for Wildwood, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 25-0.

As of now, neither Holmes County nor Wildwood have any future games scheduled.
