Football Recap: College Station Takes a Loss

College Station started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Magnolia. They took a 43-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Friday. While the Cougars didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 6-0 in the first quarter.

Loss or not, College Station got some senior leadership from Zak Cosser and Keaton Johnson. Cosser gained 95 total yards and three touchdowns, while Johnson rushed for 42 yards and a pair of TDs. Cosser showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 60 yards.

College Station's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Magnolia, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, College Station will face off against Anderson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Cougars their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Magnolia, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 20-13 win against Klein Oak on the 11th.
