Basketball Recap: Stephenson Comes Up Short

Stephenson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-64 heartbreaker at the hands of the Norway Knights. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-54 two weeks ago.

Stephenson's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-6. As for Norway, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Stephenson has already played their next game (against Bark River-Harris), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Norway will face off against Carney-Nadeau at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Norway's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Carney-Nadeau has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
