Myrtle put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They never let the Falkner Eagles get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. Considering the Hawks have won nine matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Montana Nichols, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mary Ella Mayer, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

Myrtle was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .619. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Myrtle's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Falkner, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Myrtle will take on Byers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Falkner, they will face off against Pine Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
