Basketball Game Preview: Wiley Panthers vs. Eads Eagles

Wiley and Eads are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Wiley Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Eads Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Wiley is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 60-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Holly on Friday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Eads, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Evangel Christian Academy 38-36. The victory was all the more spectacular given Eads' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while Evangel Christian Academy is ranked 101st).

Eads' win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Wiley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Wiley didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Eads in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 34-30 victory. Will Wiley repeat their success, or does Eads have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
