Basketball Recap: Star-Spencer Comes Up Short

Star-Spencer lost against Douglass back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Star-Spencer Bobcats had to suffer through a 56-14 loss at the hands of the Douglass Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 434th, while the Trojans are ranked sixth).

Star-Spencer has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season. As for Douglass, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.

Coming up, Star-Spencer will look to defend their home court on Friday against Millwood at 6:00 p.m. Douglass does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
