Acalanes has gone 6-1 against Las Lomas recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Acalanes Dons will face off against the Las Lomas Knights at 6:30 p.m. Acalanes is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Acalanes lost 3-0 to Clayton Valley Charter on Tuesday.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 26-24, 25-14.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Las Lomas' good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against Northgate, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Knights have suffered since May 2, 2024.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 25-15.

Despite the loss, Las Lomas saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tate Thompson had 20 assists. Thompson has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 12 times he's played.

Acalanes' defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Las Lomas, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.

Acalanes skirted past Las Lomas 3-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will Acalanes repeat their success, or does Las Lomas have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
