Softball Recap: Chillicothe's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Chillicothe waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Adena Warriors 6-0. The Cavaliers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six runs or more this season.

Cambriana Rittinger was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cadie Boltenhouse, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Isabella Witte, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Chillicothe was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .407 or higher in three consecutive games.

Chillicothe's record is now 11-1. As for Adena, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chillicothe will venture away from home to face off against Heath at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Adena, they will take on Unioto at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
