Recap: Stratford vs. Guymon

If Guymon were expecting to get some payback for the 0-74 loss against Stratford the last time they met, then they were left disappointed. Guymon were given a punishing 0-51 defeat at the hands of Stratford. The result was completely at odds with the teams' state rankings as Guymon enjoys a hefty 356 spot advantage.

Junior Iuden Romero was the offensive standout of the match for Stratford, as he rushed for 147 yards and 3 touchdowns. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse Jesse Sanchez, who racked up 9 tackles.

Guymon are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3. The victory bumped Stratford's record up to 2-1.

Next week Guymon take on Carl Albert at 7:00 PM. Guymon come in off of three low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse. As for Stratford, they will face off against Spearman.
