Maria Regina came tearing into Sunday's matchup with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the New Rochelle Huguenots as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Tigers were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Huguenots, so the Tigers were just returning the favor.

Francesca Sindona paced Maria Regina's offense, picking up eight kills. Sindona got some help from Emma Yonkers-Talz and her nine assists. Finally, Sindona was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high nine blocks.

Maria Regina's win bumped their record up to 14-3-1. As for New Rochelle, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Maria Regina has already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Tuckahoe on the 12th. As for New Rochelle, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ursuline at 4:30 p.m. on the 23rd.
