Billingsley's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Marion Rams a 17-0 shutout. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by eight runs or more this season.

Kyle Boice was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mason Truesdale, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Billingsley's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Marion, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Billingsley beat Marion by a score of 21-0 later that day.
