Volleyball Game Preview: Epiphany Falcons vs. Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes

Epiphany hasn't had much luck against Cape Fear Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Falcons will square off against the Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m.

Epiphany can't be too happy about their upcoming road contest considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Friday. They lost 3-0 to Jacksonville Christian Academy.

While Epiphany was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Jacksonville Christian Academy's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-17, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Cape Fear Academy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They blew past North Brunswick 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-8, 25-11.

Epiphany suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Cape Fear Academy when the teams last played back in August of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
