Basketball Recap: Green Run Takes a Loss

If Green Run was riding high fresh off their 71-25 takedown of Kempsville last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Green Run Stallions fell just short of the Salem Sundevils by a score of 45-43 on Friday. The Stallions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Sundevils from their previous meeting back in February.

Green Run now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Salem, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Green Run will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on NC GBB Academy National at 5:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Salem and Grassfield will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Grassfield will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Salem surely won't give up without a fight.
