Basketball Recap: Bridgeport Comes Up Short

Bridgeport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Freeland Falcons, falling 77-24. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 306th, while the Falcons are ranked 20th).

Bridgeport's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Freeland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Bridgeport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Freeland, they will venture away from home to square off against Midland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
