Soccer Recap: Hazelwood East Takes a Loss

Hazelwood East came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 6-0 to the Whitfield Warriors. Hazelwood East were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Whitfield apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.

Hazelwood East has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Whitfield, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-8.

Looking ahead, Hazelwood East will head out on the road to face off against Fort Zumwalt East at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitfield, they have already played their next match, an 8-0 loss against Ladue Horton Watkins on the 17th.
