Uniontown proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 14) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Albert Gallatin Colonials 3-1. This was payback for the Red Raiders, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Emmaleigh Noah spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Uniontown's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lauren White, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Uniontown's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Uniontown will take on Carmichaels at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Albert Gallatin, they will square off against Belle Vernon at 4:00 p.m. on March 21st.
