Soccer Game Preview: Fredericksburg Academy vs. Quantico

The Fredericksburg Academy Falcons will challenge the Quantico Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fredericksburg Academy will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Foxcroft, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Falcons came out on top against Foxcroft by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Fredericksburg Academy were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Quantico kept a clean sheet against King Abdullah Academy on Friday. They blew past the Falcons 4-0. The result was nothing new for Quantico, who have now won four matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit King Abdullah Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Liliana Ramos (2), Kallie Williams, and Madelyn Magee.

Quantico is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four contests. As for Fredericksburg Academy, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Fredericksburg Academy beat Quantico by a goal in their previous meeting back in March, winning 2-1. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
