Basketball Game Preview: Westbrook Wildcats vs. Roby Lions

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Westbrook Wildcats challenge the Roby Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday... Westbrook has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Westbrook is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Loraine to the tune of 83-33 on Tuesday. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Wildcats had established a 47 point advantage.

Meanwhile, the third road match was the charm for Roby, as they earned their first road win of the season. They couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 61-34 blowout they got against Loraine.

Roby has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Westbrook, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.

Westbrook didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Roby in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 39-35 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westbrook since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
