Volleyball Recap: Providence Takes a Loss

Providence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Santa Maria Saints.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-14.

Providence's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Santa Maria, their victory ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Providence will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Laguna Blanca at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for Santa Maria, they will venture away from home to square off against Dunn at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
