Volleyball Recap: Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the McGehee Hawks, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-15, 25-9.

Heaven Highsmith paced Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Highsmith got some help from Valerie Huete and her five assists. Amelia Beach controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for McGehee, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 19-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy will host Warren Easton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McGehee, they will welcome Pearl River at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
