Basketball Recap: Greenforest Skates Past Utopian Academy for the Arts with Ease

On Tuesday, everything came up roses for the Greenforest Eagles against Utopian Academy for the Arts as the squad secured a 69-7 victory. With that win, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 50 points per game.

Andela Mirkovic went supernova for Greenforest, going 7 of 10 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points. Those 24 points gave Mirkovic a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Marianah Achol, who went 6 for 11 on her way to 15 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Greenforest and bumps their season record up to 12-9. As for Utopian Academy for the Arts, their loss was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-19.

Greenforest will challenge McNair at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Greenforest is facing McNair at the right time seeing as McNair is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Utopian Academy for the Arts does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
