Basketball Game Preview: Chief Kitsap Academy Bears vs. Sound Christian Lions

The Chief Kitsap Academy Bears will head out to face off against the Sound Christian Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with 11 losses in a row dating back to last season, Chief Kitsap Academy turned things around against Clallam Bay on Thursday. They walked away with a 74-67 victory over the Bruins. The Bears' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sound Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They took down Providence Classical Christian 69-53 on Saturday.

Sound Christian's win came from a few key players Chief Kitsap Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Makai Resseau, who went 9 of 17 en route to 26 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Moses Stiver was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.

Sound Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Sound Christian's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Chief Kitsap Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
