Basketball Recap: Wheeling Comes Up Short

Wheeling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 55-28 defeat at the hands of the Leyden Eagles. The Wildcats lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 52-49 score last time.

Wheeling's record is now 2-22. As for Leyden, their record is now 17-7.

Wheeling has already played their next matchup (against Buffalo Grove), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Leyden will challenge Addison Trail at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
