Basketball Recap: St. Michael Catholic Takes a Loss

St. Michael Catholic was the 41-38 winner over Saraland when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The St. Michael Catholic Cardinals received a blow on Friday as they fell 60-41 to the Saraland Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Spartans are ranked 41st).

St. Michael Catholic dropped their record down to 4-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Saraland, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Michael Catholic will take on Gulf Shores in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Saraland, they will venture away from home to take on Robertsdale at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
