Volleyball Recap: Madeira Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

Madeira lost to Mariemont back in September, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The MUSTANGS/AMAZONS walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Warriors.

Madeira was especially dominant in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 24-26, 25-12.

Lucy Gianni paced Madeira's offense, picking up 16 kills. Gianni got some help from Dee Dee O'Malley and her 54 assists. Gianni was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Madeira pushed their record up to 15-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Mariemont, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.

Madeira does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mariemont, after both having extra time off, they and Clermont Northeastern will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
