Softball Recap: Culpeper County Comes Up Short

Culpeper County managed to slip by King George the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Blue Devils lost 8-1 to the Foxes on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Blue Devils couldn't push the score so high this time.

Culpeper County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for King George, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Culpeper County is set to face off against their familiar foe Spotsylvania at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, King George will challenge rival Courtland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
