Volleyball Recap: Clay Wins Going Away Against Southview

Clay won the last time they faced Southview and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eagles blew past the Cougars 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Clay was: they took every set by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-9, 25-10.

Eme Goetz paced Clay's offense, picking up 12 kills. Goetz got some help from Hayden Rodriguez and her 25 assists. Leah Hazuda controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Clay's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Southview, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Clay is set to take on their familiar foe Napoleon at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Southview will square off against rival Bowling Green at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
