Softball Recap: Liberty's Undefeated Season over After Seven Games

If Liberty was riding high fresh off their 12-0 takedown of Inchelium on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lancers came up short against the Hornets on Saturday, falling 19-4. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Lancers, who until this matchup were averaging 3.86 runs allowed.

Jordyn Jeske made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Liberty fell to 6-1. As for Inchelium, their record now sits at an identical 6-1.

Looking ahead, Liberty will square off against Colfax at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lancers are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Inchelium, they will face off against Mary Walker at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chargers will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
