Recap: Antelope Titans vs. Bella Vista Broncos

There's no place like home for the Antelope Titans, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past Bella Vista 79-53. Given Antelope's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while Bella Vista is ranked 575th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Antelope's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daunte Martin led the charge by scoring 18 points. Another player making a difference was Quentin Mitchell, who scored 12 points.

Antelope's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.3 points per game. As for Bella Vista, they have fallen quite a ways from their 20-9 record last season and are now at 7-11.

Antelope won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Ponderosa at 1:00 p.m. on January 6th. Hopefully Ponderosa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Saturday. As for Bella Vista, they will be playing at home against River Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. River Valley is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
