Basketball Recap: Royal Palm Beach Comes Up Short

Royal Palm Beach played a tough match on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Dreyfoos School of the Arts Jaguars, falling 42-15. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Dreyfoos School of the Arts can attribute much of their success to Angelina Nesbitt, who posted 11 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Maldonado, who scored seven points and three steals.

Royal Palm Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Dreyfoos School of the Arts, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Royal Palm Beach Wildcats face off against the Dwyer Panthers on Tuesday. Dwyer has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Dreyfoos School of the Arts has already played their next contest (against Boynton Beach), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
